Sector Books?

As I understand it, SJG is still contemplating both an Aldebaran and Trojan Reaches sector sourcebook for the GT product line.

QLI's Gateway to Destiny sourcebook, detailing Ley, Glimmerdrift, Crucis Margin and Gateway sectors, has been out in PDF and is coming out in print this spring. In addition, TNE 1248 will give UWP stats for (albeit based in 1248) Gushemege, Ililesh, Dagudashaag and Zarushagar sectors.

What other sectors are being detailed in upcoming releases from various companies? Any thoughts? Any release dates?

To the best of my knowledge, SJG is only planning on doing the Aldebaran book. The Trojan Reaches book was dropped. While it doesn't cover a full subsector, SJG is supposed to release their Sword Worlds sourcebook next month.

SJG is also planning on releasing sourcebooks for the Interstellar Wars period. Presumably that would include some sort of sector information for at least the Solomani Rim.

Finally, depending on the sales of the 1248 sourcebook, QLI is thinking about releasing additional sourcebooks detail other regions.

Of all of those mentioned, only the Sword Worlds sourcebook seems to have any type of release date associated with it (next month).

Cargonaught is also releasing some time this summer a digest version of the Lost Keith supplement of Reaver's Deep, if you haven't already got the Big Yellow Book...

Cool. I knew about the 1248 sourcebooks, even doing some preliminary work on the Rimward States before I spoke with the person I think is actually going to do the book. That hopefully will come out next year.

I knew of the Interstellar Wars, but since their focus is primarily in the Solomani Rim, along the border of conflict between the Ziru Sirka and the growing Terran United Worlds, so I imagine we won't see a lot of new sectors come out of that.

I also have the BYB of Reaver's Deep, but I'm glad to hear that Cargonaut Press is still alive and kicking.

Slowly, my lore of the OTU will increase, as new sectors are released and come into the fold...

What's the BYB for the Trojan Reaches?

I have the TD issue with the sector writeup.

Was there any word on why SJG canned the book? I know Doug Berry was supposed to write up and has had health problems in the past. I also heard there was also problems with using the GDP material because it was not covered within the scope of the SJG license with FarFuture. I was looking forward to the book. I hope they go forward with other sector books, and alien sector would be cool.

The BYB of Reaver's Deep is a Big Yellow Book that details the sector, as released by Cargonaut Press. It was part of the Lost Keith Supplements, IIRC.

If you are interested, just do a quick google for Cargonaut Press, and you should find their website.
