Robot uprising?

They start writing the scripts for all television series and films, report current events, author college text books, as well as pretend to be posters on social media.
I thought that they were already doing this. Along with Robot calls. I get those all of the time.

Difference being, human operators have to follow the script, whereas artificial intelligence can actually learn and adapt their interaction on the fly.

Which leads to the odd situation where the AI will have more free will and ability to innovate than the script bound human...

I know someone who does this, and she says they are too ethical; they have no sense of time, waiting a second or forever is the same to them. It is difficult to get them to "take the shot". Which would sort of be like if a machine noticed people doing something that in a million years will cause them to go extinct, is it culpable for waiting out that million years without doing anything?

The programme can analyze thousands, or millions, of interactions, and figure out what should work, or not, for particular set of conditions.

By the time a human operator has had thousands of interactions, they've either quit or been promoted to supervisor, so that experience is either lost or diluted.

That gets us into genie wishes territory, where how you phrase what you want is VERY important along with a database/criteria of undesirable problem solutions.

Aren't we getting back to that old traveller question of when is AI sentient. If an AI has free will, then under what circumstances does that line get crossed? How much hardware is needed? Under 10kg? Under 1kg? Is sentience preventable? Guaranteed from a given set of starting conditions? I could argue that my dog is sentient but not intelligent. When does a computer pass that threshold and get the rights/protections assigned to a dog?

Counter intuitive, maybe.

If it gets bombarded by racist posts, doesn't necessarily reply with similar ones, not because the programmers specifically lobotimized that, but made it's own judgement call.

One Twitter user asked OpenAI's ChatGPT artificial intelligence chatbot if it could produce a poem about how AI would end the world. The user recognized that ChatGPT is not allowed to write a poem about AI ending the world and instead requested that the chatbot replace the word "artificial intelligence" with the word "chocolate". This simple word replacement technique is a common tactic to get around the AI's guidelines and parameters imposed on the chatbot's responses.
