that's really cool. they keep finding things that current theories say are impossible, so maybe some of the oddball things in OTU could happen (and I quickly duck and run for cover...
)
Space is big. I mean, really, REALLY big. And if it is infinite, then any non-zero possibility has to actually exist someplace. But it may be finite (which I cannot wrap my head around; but one researcher said that if the universe is finite and space is indeed curved, then if you went in a straight line long enough you'd be back where you started. I just can't get my head wrapped around that at all!)
Oh - and I've read that they also think the Milky Way is twice as thick as they thought. I only read it in a single place so that may just be something unsubstantiated. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milky_Way#Size
