The One Seventeenth heavy brigade Imperial Army have been re-equiped in preparation for being fielded in a Spud supression role.

The advanced Battle dress the privates wear means that every soldier is able to field with a heavy duty Spud gun. The Squad support weapon is still on the drawing board. The Early attempt at combining a flamethrower and greasegun would have resulted in a "Chip off the old block" however another device refered to by the code name "Ginsu" is also doing well in testing.

There is also rumours of an artillery piece in development... the masher.

The weapons development board has specifically denied rumours surrounding chemical ammunition for this gun. Though stories abound about a trinary compound weapon.
