Quick question about GT timeline

Hi GURPERs

Quickie question (as I only know about CT):

What is the starting timeline of the GURPS Traveller era? was it the same as CT (Strephon-reign) around 1107-1117 or much later like 1124?

I need to know the "time" for the GURPS Traveller products from SJG. If the timeline is way off from CT Strephon-Era, then I won't spend a cent on buying those nice-looking GURPS supplements. I was tempted to buy the Rim of Fire, so I can use that data into my canonical CT campaign.

Ah thanks for response! This is what concerns me. My canon CT campaign will be based on the Solomani Rim around "Strephon golden age" of 1106-1116.

What worries me is that IF I buy the GT supplement Rim of Fire, I will find that the 1120 timeline will have totally changed all the national borders, political allegiances, UWPs, etc.... for the planets and subsectors of the Solomani Rim. I guess I'll just to have to keep asking around from someone who knows the content of the Rim of Fire supplement, and how much it differs from the Solomani Rim as presented in CT books.
