Questions about Per capita income

Duke

SOC-9
OK. I can't remember where or what version, but I remember coming across
references to Gross Planetary Product and per capita income. Are there any canonical references to calculating these (or even reasonable and non-canon). Or are we left with vague "rich," "poor," and "?".

Also, any good way of calculating a planetary density and accel. due to gravity? I know a 1000km hunk of mostly silicate and aluminum would be a lot less dense than, say earth with 8000km and mostly iron-nickel with a lot (relatively) of heavier metals. Or is density just the referee's call?

Naval Budget calculations are in Adv.5: TCS... decanonized, but most official we've seen yet...

Striker has GPP calcs as well.

While I'm not happy to recommend any SJG product anymore, I can say that "Gurps space" answers most of your questions re mass, density and gravity (I.E. acceleration) fairly well and could let you come up with scientifically acceptable values for those factors.

As to economies and incomes, it talks about societies and mentions those things to various degrees.

There are rules for calculating GWP in Striker (CT), Pocket Empires (T4), and Far Trader (GT). I also put some simplified rules in 101 Corporations, in case readers didn't have any of those. </plug>

MWM said it was not the "Real" figures during the T20 playtest.

It's also the one used as the basis for the T4 materials.
