power projections

has anyone tried the power projections game out? It says it's based on the full thrust rules, which i've heard of but havn't tried. can you convert traveller ships to be used in these rules? I'm looking for a good set of rules to handle large fleet battles in my T20 games.

Jsmith,

Both versions, PP:Escort and PP:Fleet, are well worth getting. Both are specifically designed for Traveller ship combat, ships, and technology.

PP:Fleet is specifically designed to handle large fleet battles and also contains the rules you'll need to convert the Traveller ships each game hasn't already converted into PP terms.

Role-playing within PP battles is something that will be hard to add. The games use 1D6 so even tiny skill levels can wildly skew die rolls.

Have fun,
Bill

P.S. The games are published by BITS and anything by BITS is worth buying.

Thanks for the information, I was curious about PP myself. Definitely sounds good. Can't afford it right now since I ordered the Imperial & Zhodani fleets sets. I agree with BITS stuff, bought some of them when they first came out.
