Power Outages

While the subject is hot, what experiences have you had in campaigns where the 'power is out'?

I remember refereeing a scenario printed in White Dwarf many moons ago called 'Sky Rig', which IIRC involved a recovery/ rescue mission to a failing fuel processing rig in orbit above a gas giant. The rig in question was losing all power over a period of time and slowly descending into the GG's atmosphere. The players basically had to figure out what was going on, before it was too late to escape, whilst all the onboard systems were failing (lighting, artificial gravity, computers, doors, escape vessels!!). Made for quite an exciting time.

Best traveller scenario in white dwarf IMHO. The article on bounty hunting was good too (with the Type H hunter variant).
