I should start with a confession, I've never played Traveller before, I've never even owned any of the rules, but what I've read of the setting interests me intensely. I have two problems. First I don't yet own a copy of the rules. Second, I don't have a group to play with.
I've been looking at, with great interest, the T20 version. And I'm just about at the point of buying a copy, but I am still hesitating. The whole question of finance comes into play. Should I spend money on a RPG that will only sit on my shelf and collect dust? So I'm wondering if there is any group out there who is currently doing an IRC style Traveller campaign, or will be once the t20 rules ship?
