I got a new cheapo DVD drive to replace my old one, and am watching one of the classic "Planet of the Apes" films.

Has anybody ever taken their players to such a world?

No, but we did have a discussion about how to fit a world inhabited by gorillas, chimps, and orangutangs into the OTU and what it would be like:

Unfortunately it proved difficult to fit it into the already established setting, and we didn't get very far with figuring out how the society worked.

Ye Olde Aftermath game had various ways to end civilization as we know it...other than having the Martians attack they had rules for a future world ruled by apes...my players at the time voted for a bio war...I sulked...it did not work.

Man, I LOVE the original Planet of the Apes films.

The recent film, Rise of the Planet of the Apes was actually a well-done reimagining of the series. I'm hoping to see more in that series.
