Patent of Nobility Card (where are you?)

Akk

I think that's supposed to be Fornast. Perhaps you have a rare, limited edition, typo Knighthood?

The card Abbreviates the sector to 4 letters, FORN.

That explains search difficulties. ((Digs into the star charts and Atlases anew))

Hmmm... I can't find anything on a "Pagac" at 1818 in Zarushaggar. Instead, I find references to "Querl" from 1248, which doesn't resemble the UWP at all.

Where you want to look is http://travellermap.com/?sector=Zarushagar&hex=1818 Notice, it is one 'g', not two. It should show up right in the middle of the map when you go there. :omega:
Oh, no, I found it right away on the travellermap.com website. I'm having trouble finding it in print resources from CT/MT/TNE/1248/etc. 1248 has a different system at the same coordinates, that's all I was saying.

I"m good with that actually, gives me complete freedom in the PON Landgrab!

A new survey was done since those old games were published.

You are correct there!!! The T5 Second Survey team got to Zarushagur towards the end of a multi-year project (we started with the Spinward Marches system by system looking at all existing sources, reconciling differences, identifying options based on different canon descriptions, matching UWPs to descriptions, identifying contentious issues with worlds for Marc to resolve) and found a large number of the UWPs were mostly one of about five set combinations (dodgy random generator) especially the physical data. We then found someone had redone the social data to break up the repeating UWPs but it still left a lot of repeating physical data.

Don ( Lead Surveyor) then found an entirely different set of data for the sector, which got the same "blah" response as the set we already had due to its own problems. All this was then thrown back up the line to Marc for him to decide what to do, including the option of regenerating the whole sector, only keeping systems identified in specific canon sources.

The two main Scout Surveyors were then interrupted by real life and I do not know which way Marc jumped and what we ended up with. I suspect Don redid the sector based on Marc's guidance, or found new surveyors to take over the last sector.

I got the final full set of data about a day before flying out on holidays and just had enough time to look for any gross patterns of concern and any clearly invalid UWP combinations according to the T5 rules. We were also asked for advice on anywhere to avoid handing out the kickstarter nobles, zarushugar was on that list so the issues with the sector must have been resolved.

Easiest way to explain both is have them be moons of a Hab zone gas giant. Pagac was the mainworld until a Vampire came along and wiped it, leaving the other moon to be found and established as the mainworld in the new era.

I'm actually surprised they came out as differentiated as they did!

In any case, I still call dibs on Pagac in the New Landgrab!

As I posted before, this is my world:

Durguu 3028 A57346B-D Ni O: 301 Im M2 V

Here's my question. What the heck does the O: mean after the Ni code. I know Ni means Non-industrial, but I have never seen the O: thing. Mebbe it's a typo?

Got this data straight from travellermap.

Owned!

The "O" means "Owned", it stems from the Gov 6 Captive Government. So the "O" means that this world is Owned by a near by System. It may be a Colony, an Exile World, a Prison World, or just owned by rich old Nob.

Hope that helps.

That helps a LOT! Okay, yeah. The government is Captive, so that makes sense.

No problem.

It's what I do. :D

Glad to have helped you out there. Hell, the only reason I know is came up in the Private Forum not long before it closed. Still, I seem to recall you being a Beta with access so you can go and scan for the thread in which it comes up. Can't point you to it, just its existence. More of an ACS dude as recall.
