No encounter chart?

I've been through the beast maker section, saw the animal encounters, but I'm not seeing anything dedicated to random encounters in the latest version of T5.

Am I missing something?

There is a subsection in BeastMaker that lets the Referee create their own Encounter chart, with weather and other environmental encounters to choose from. The chapter encourages you to make your own based on the current World Hex being traversed.

As a quick and dirty way of dealing with this, you might want to just break out Supplement 2: Animal Encounters (if you have it), and use that, adapting to T5 as needed.

Animal Encounter charts take a lot of time to generate.

Sounds like a task for a computer utility.


I see Rob has one, but it's generic to the planet and no inputs for terrain or weather.

The old Heaven & Earth software (pretty sure there is a link in the files section) also does the animal encounter tables for the planet. May not be T5 but would not take much to at least use the results and update as appropriate.
