SOC-1
Hi all,

I've never played traveller, but have been been playing other rpgs for the past 21 years. I find more and more that newer games really don't appeal to me at all and the older games keep calling me back. Anyways, I heard about classic Traveller and it sounds like something I'd enjoy. While I definitely prefer an actual book over pdfs- the CT CD from Far Future Enterprises sounds like a super duper deal in terms of amount of material for your dollar. On the FFE site I can't find a list anywhere that says what is actually on the CD. Can anyone here help me out? Specifically, I'm curious if "The Traveller Adventure" is on there since that sounds really cool, but I'd like to know what else is on the CD too. Thanks in advance for the help.

Specifically, yes, "The Traveller Adventure" is included. There were some threads discussing and reviewing the CD but my links to them are broken.

The CD contains:

The Traveller Book
The Traveller Adventure
Books 0 through 8
Supplements 1 through 13
Adventures 0 through 13
Double Adventures 1 through 6
Games 0 through 6
Modules 1 through 5
Aliens 1 through 8
Special Supplements 1 through 3

It is well worth the money. I once tried to calculate what it might cost if you bought all of those in book form, and if I remember right it was over $1,000.

Oh, and welcome aboard!

EDIT: and Far-Trader beat me to it!

Welcome to the forum! I'm a bit of a newbie myself (to this forum...not forums in general nor to Classic Traveller)

Thanks for posting what's on the CD - there's a lot there I've never seen. I just sold off a lot of my original LBB books, supplements, Alien Modules and bought the reprinted books (covering the original 8 books, Alien Modules - remembered to copy the missing page first and supplements and games) - and still was left with money. This CD seems to have way more......think I might invest.....

FFE also offers a softcover reissue of Books 0-8 if you just want the "core" system (technically, I just consider the "core" to be Books 1-3, but YMMV).

...but $1000 worth of OOP gaming material for just $35 is a hard bargain to resist! ;)

Even though I myself prefer the Classic version of Traveller, I encourage you to spend some time browsing around the other boards here. There's lots of good stuff to be found here, regardless of which version of Traveller floats your ship's boat.

Welcome to the fold!

Along the same lines as this thread -- anybody got PDF/CD-ROM versions of the old Digest Group Publications products or are there any plans to do so?

Let's not forget that most of the content from one of the versions can be pretty easily converted for use in any of the other versions. I have panned lots of nuggets from the some of the other streams

No one better have such... the rights holder for DGP is unwilling to let th properties be used for any reasonable price.

I think the current owner of that product line has no plans to do anything with them.
