I just ran into an interesting artifact in the rules; for any stars but the primary the roll for Spectral Class and Decimal is based on the Flux rolled for the Primary star in the system.
This got me to wondering, when I am rolling for a Companion for a Close, Near or Far star, do I use the Flux of the system primary, or the one for the parent star of the Companion?
Strictly reading the rules as written I'd use the system primary, but using the parent Companion sounds like a reasonable alternative because it leads to a continuous decline in Spectral Class and Size, the more steps you get away from the Primary.
Of course, the strict reading of the rules is not implausible either, so I'm fine either way, but as I am coding up my system generator, I was curious what the rest here thinks.
