MT Errata Questions

SOC-14 1K
1. What was the latest-dated errata sheet produced for MT? Did it fully integrate errata from prior versions of the errata sheets?

2. Were there not changes to make the Frozen Watch an available assignment for Marines and to make sure they only did certain of the combat assignments that Army guys did? I forget... but didn't Marines only do Police Action, Ships Troops, and not Counter Insurgency or Installation Security?

Thanks for the help.

The MT PH enhanced mercs tables say that Marines don't serve Counterinsurgency or Internal Security. If they receive one of these assignments then switch it to Ship's Troops instead.
My latest errata sheet is dated September 1, 1990. I have the 3rd printing of MT which includes most of the errata (as well as 1st edition which doesn't :( ).
There is no mention of Marines serving in the frozen watch (which is found in the Navy assignment table as result 3 instead of shore duty).
The way I always did it was for a Marine assigned to Ship's Troops to roll on the Navy assignment chart to find out what the ship was up to. This gives the chance of serving in the frozen watch.
Hope this helps.

There was an errata in the 1988 errata sheet about Frozen Watch. It *may* have been in the Navy section. I guess 'Ship's Troops' may effectively be "frozen watch". ;)

Most of the errata on the web is the 1988 printing. I need to get a copy of the 1990 version. (I may have on paper, but I want an electronic one).

Interesting idea on the Ship's Troops idea. Of course, how did you resolve survival rolls? If the ship went to a Battle, did you modify the survival roll and if so what Navy value did you use? (Flight? Line?).

It does help. I'm trying to help Greg S. revamp MTCG program by getting the errata in place. So having up to date errata (he didn't include any, but only has 1988 version as of now) would help a lot.

Just cause MT is forbidden doesn't mean it still wasn't the best version! ;)

That's the 1988 errata. But the sheets I want to get a hold of (and that should be put somewhere for everyone) are the Sept 1990 version.

I've a copy on paper only. I could email it to you, it is a free errata sheet ;)

I used the naval character assignment resolution survival roll; decoration, promotion and skill rolls from the merc tables. The Marine is treated as crew or gunnery, players choise.

I completely agree.
