Miniatures Wargame for Traveller

Starfire has changed a lot since SF I-II-III. You would recognize but not be able to read Galactic, Elite, and Ultra Starfire editions' ships - they changed the codes for a number of things.

Wow, I guess so, it makes me feel old. Last I bought was Empires. I'm reading "In Death Ground" by Weber, it does have a starfire-ish feel to it.

The ship combat in GDW Belter is interesting and I think an abstraction of CT Book 2. Belter on Boardgamegeek

GDW Double Star also has space ship combat which among other things I want to look closer at. Double Star at Boardgamegeek

I think last year I had started to make a system to play CT book 2 with the Missile supplement and real life took over at some point. It started to look like SPI's "Air War" or TSR's "Flightleader." I still have all my work just have to get re-motivated. Tactical map with ship & missile control charts

I was never able to play it, even with DOSBOX but supposedly the old dos Megatraveller games have a decent representation of ship to ship combat.

Okay, so im new here but had anyone looked at Firestorm Armada? I have not played it but have played Uncharted Seas, Dystopian Wars- the system is common across all three games and includes what equates to screening. Secondly I play War at Sea with hex mats I know there is a point breakdown on their forum so it would be easy yo assign cosy to dice and special abilities, as a quick easy system it could morph into a Traveller game real easy
