Meson gun damage

ISTR there are rules for where a missed indirect hit lands... Meson Arty that misses just uses normal deviation rules.

But they should also have rules about possible underground explosions (I guess if you´re shooting through a plaet and your hit falls short, or from orbit and it falls long), with possible earthquake effects...

Yes, for indirect fire, the meson gun behaves normally.

The issue in question is direct fire, i.e. the gun is on the table and the firer can trace a direct line of sight to the target.

Mortars are still required in this case to walk their fire onto the target. Other indirect fire equipped weapons (such as a howitzer) can fire directly at the target (assuming they're equipped with a direct fire control system).

The meson gun, firing direct, always fires as if indirect. Just treat DF misses as IF misses.
