Personally, I would settle for a edited errata free & downloadable picture version CD ROM but in the long run. I would want to settle for a three volume Hardcover set encompassing the Megatraveller canon (naturally, errata free)
Volume 1 with the illustration from the Rebellion Sourcebook. Containing:
Players Handbook
Referee’s Handbook
Imperial Encyclopedia
Referee's Companion
Rebellion Sourcebook
Volume 2 with the illustration from the COACC sourcebook. Containing:
COACC
Fighting Ships
Knightfall
& Selected Challenge articles such as the Wet Navy series
Volume 3: with the cover of Assignment Vigilaante containing:
Hard Times
Arrival Vengeance
Assignment Vigilante
Astrogator’s Guide to Diaspora
I would be prepared to pay in a sliding scale to help offset some of the costs for these volumes. For instance, $65.00 for Volume 1; $55.00 for Volume 2 and $45.00 for Volume 3.
When I checked with my local print shop, the owner said this was doable if an initial print run of 9,000 was ordered.
Now Marc runs his own printshop in Normal, IL. I am sure his prices would be better.
The number of copies is not really all that extravagant if you consider that these board (CofI) have 5065 members (true, not all active and many into retirement) but a worthy project. Now with the killer art that was MegaTraveller, it could well be a successful venture.
