MegaTraveller computer game

Which, as a slight aside, asks the question - are the computer game plots part of Traveller canon?

If so there are some pretty good ideas hidden within them IMHO.

Does anyone know of any plans for future PC or other system games?

Would anyone play them if they were set in TNE or 1248?

Could a viable set of quests be created for CT (or any other Traveller) games?

Would playing a "Computer" version bring people into the Pen and Paper versions or put them off as being too tedious?

These questions have generated discussion in the "Software Solutions" area before. It might be a good time to bring them up again over there, and give us programmers a reason to start talking about it some more.

Whatever happened to Megatraveller 3 & 4, I seem to remember old Dragon Magazines eluding to them. One was rescue a princess and the other...I can't remember.

All the documentation and planning for MT:3 is on the MT Canon CD-ROM. The game itself was never produced, but it looks like most of the flow was done.
