MegaTraveller CDRom?

Would you be interested in purchasing such a CDRom for $40.00?

Sorry, all I know is what's on the web-site at Far Future Enterprises. It does mention not starting until June 7 due to a glitch, or to quote:

"FFE Titles as Ebooks (Starts Monday June 7 [last minute glitch])."

They appear to be up at drivethroughrpg.com

$10 each for PM, RM, IE, and
$7 each for HT, COACC, and RC

If they were just plain PDF's, I'd be willing to pay that rate, but they are, courtesy of being up on DTRPG, DRM copies, which means *I* Can't burn a CD and use them elsewhere (on friend's computer, for example, or on a non-networkable computer...)

Just did this. Activated Adobe Reader, put in the cd. Exalted on another computer.

*deep breath*

Yes, you can (at least on a friend's computer). You take the CD to his machine, fire up Acrobat 6, open the Ebook, activate it on his computer, and you can read it there. Takes all of five minutes if it doesn't have Acrobat on it, or about a minute or two to activate if it does.

I'm not sure whether you can activate an ebook on a computer that isn't connected to the net. If that turns out not to be possible then I would agree that this would be a somewhat major flaw of the format.
