What are the affect of being in the reservist? So when I am generating life event be it school name or battle etc. Where do find names for provinces city planets etc.
I think there was a rule at one time that if you're in the reserves, but also in a second career, if your continue roll is snake-eyes, you get drafted back. Can't remember where, or even when, though.
Can only change careers by avoiding continue role.
This part...
How does that happen? Wounded with a medical discharge? I can think of no way to aside from that to avoid a continue roll.
Aside from that, this clarifies a lot.
I can't help but think that voluntarily ending your service conflicts with the "if you roll 2 you must serve another term." Why roll continue unless you want to continue? And if you do intend to continue and you roll a 2, so what?
These particular rules just seem unfinished. I'll see myself out.

If you don't want to continue, but roll a 2, you continue anyway - either in the reserves or the career being exited. The other option would be inferred as "spend a term as a prisoner"... which I don't know if T5 has, but TNE did....
See my confusion come in. After my character served his mandatory term. If I want to go back to school do I need to still roll leave the career? Do I need still need to roll to muster out then go back to the University?
OK, so the "mandatory" continue roll of 2 really only pertains to former military careers who have switched to something else.
I've been forcing players to make a continue roll regardless of their desires, with failure being "start adventuring", pass being "you may continue here, choose another career or more education, or you may begin adventuring" and a 2 being, "you must complete another term."
