I found some sort of mold growing on my roomate's tofurkey (it's a vegetarian turkey-tastin' product) which has been lurking in the back of the refrigerator since last Thanksgiving.
While I'm no biologist, I did try a sample of her "meatless meat" before it was originally stowed away in the fridge - and I believe such material would qualify as an extreme environment for any lifeform.
