Jump Inhibitor

A jump inhibitor would prevent, or make it less likely for a ship to be able to Jump.

Maybe it's an energy weapon that will interfere with the jump bubble. Maybe it's a device launched at an opponent that needs to attach to the hull.

Just had a thought and wanted to throw it out there for discussion. Maybe in the vastness of material I don't own it's been covered.
 
Its in MegaTraveller as a TL20+ device called a jump damper. They also have a TL21 jump projector what forces a ship into a mis-jump. Full stats and combat tables in the MT core rules books :)
 
As for the jump you need a gravity-free vector, perhaps just a strong enough gravity generator would make the work...

It won't be difficult to attach to a ship. Just leave it close onough and it will attach to it just for the gravity it generates.
 
Given that they have devices which affect such fundamental forces as the strong nuclear force (nuclear dampers) and electromagnetic force (molecular attraction - disintegrators), perhaps they have a device that can locally alter some other such fundamental property of the universe - whatever force or property is involved in transitioning a mass from this space into jump space - and can do it at a great distance.
