Has anyone heard if any new work is being done for Milieu 2100, other than SJG just offering tenders? Also, does it promise to be a RPG or just a rehash of Dark Nebula & Imperium?

There was a very active discussion of the Interstellar Wars project on the JTAS boards. It's certainly planned as an RPG -- much of the discussion focused on how to maximize role-play potential within the setting.
However, I believe SJG does have exclusive RPG rights to that milieu, if that's what you mean.
Do we have any other details...such as projected supplements or that it is going to be more a storybased milieu rather than the straight rules that would be essentially repeating all that has gone before in GT.
Is it the Wars to the ROM. or just the Wars or First Contact. Will there be an emphasis on Hard SF or Space Opera?
From various postings by the relevant people to various fora, the license covers the Interstellar wars, between first contact and the end of the Nth war which is just before the founding of the ROM.
The only announced product is the IW core book, but Jon was looking for a Vilani book as well. Depending upon who else gets excited and offers to write there may be others. The wish list: http://www.sjgames.com/general/author/wish.html
As for tone, it will be GURPS Traveller. Fairly hard science, largely background information which should allow you to play loose with the rules if you want more space opera.
