Is this the TU?

I'm still kind of scratching my head about the question.

I mean, each setting is different. Use Traveller, use Your Own TU. Use Star Trek.
As Gadrin has correctly divined, I was thinking of producing material that might be useful to other GMs than myself. That would be best done by fitting into the widest possible number of campaigns, which means no assumption clashes with canon.

I'm not entirely discouraged yet, but it is looking pretty difficult. It will at least be a long time before I am able to write canon-compatible Traveller material.

find the authors on the JTAS side and have them proofread your stuff.

I'd bet most (who are still around) would be willing to, it's that type of community.

One of them has offered to do some consistency checking for me, which is (a) overwhelmingly generous, and (b) the only reason I am still thinking of doing this. I would never dream of bailing up a perfect stranger and asking him to help my work.

Well in answer to the query re:MTU, it uses Traveller Rules, Jump Space, etc, completely different setting.

I've started another thread in Scouts category, Mapping My MTU.

I'm revising the campaign for an all new player group, to run this summer, here in Dayton.
