• Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
  • We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.

Impossible UWPs

Would jumbo-sized versions of worlds like Europa, Ganymede, Enceladus - and likely Ceres* - be considered "vacuum" worlds? They certainly don't have useful atmospheres. But they do have very large, possibly global hydrospheres.

* We'll find out in less than a year!

Hans spurred my memory of some stuff...

http://wiki.travellerrpg.com/Sundowner

  • vacuum-adapted
  • billions living on one world
  • sentient and intelligent
  • can have meaningful interaction with humanity (though that was not on my list, I see why Hans might consider it important)

And while I never specified any need for canonicity, I know Hans is often interested in whether something is part of canon. These guys are canonical.

For more about vacuum-adapted alien races, I've opened a spin-off thread.
