Here's a thought. Wouldn't at least some Ihaiti be coming from the Imperium? After all there would be at least as much crowding there and there would be the danger that contact with so many humanati would deflect them from the path of honor. Some would even colide with other groups of Ihaiti comming from the Hierate, making for interesting arrangments.

And if some of those Aslan start settling in the Gateway area . . . why, we can get the K'Kree/Aslan war going centuries ahead of schedule.

Well, don't forget that the Regency was actively resettling Aslan onto their coreward and trailing frontiers, thereby giving the potential for some cat/dog fights.
