I'm sorry... :)

After waiting for about a kazillion years for it to come out, I have a copy of T20. I'm sorry about the short fuse before, especially now that I have it! In the entire book, I have only found one error, and that's just a double word repeat that a spelling checker or editor would likely miss. Only points that bug me:

Half the humans (male of female) look like thier nose has been broken... Alot... :D

The fact that the computer/vehicle/ship building rules are not open licence... :( Does this mean if I make new hardware for building ships (new equipment) that it cannot be published?

You included an XP chart for characters, that is not open gaming licence, right?

Otherwise, love the damage system (so close to the original, yet so differant...), and think the armor and equipment rules are great! Love the way you used the info from the D&D equipment. One thing though: You list tower shields as wood, when you have 3 differing types in the chart.

The character building system is perfect, as is the flavor text at the start of the book. I noticed you did not use the 3D art for any of the ship pictures? Any reason?

Overall, a very beautiful book, with few errors and almost no flaws!

Now I just have to convert everything from Alternity's StarDrive universe to this rule set and go to town! Already have the basics for a ships DarkMatter Reactor, Induction Engine, and StarDrive! The weapon conversions are NOT going to be fun to figure out... (lets see: hot o convery 3 damage types, vs Alt armor system to T20 damage vs armor... Hmnnn...)

I salute you!

(PS: It still took too long!

As I read it, the design system is not open license, but the end result of your designs are: you cannot show how you made the 'thing' you designed, but the stat block etc for it is OGL.

You can include an XP table in OGL, but you're not allowed to refer to the Players Handbook or other Core Books by name inside the copy of T20.

I liked the ship art, but there wasn't a picture of a scout ship anywhere- that I've noticed, so far at least!

Sorry, mispoke:

This is a D20 licence product, and I did not think you could include XP charts in it.

Keep in mind, EverQuest had XP for the open gaming licence, so I guess that is legal for the OGL. Just did not think it was for D20?

I was wondering about that too. I've heard contradictory things about whether you are permitted to include the EXP table or not in a d20 product.

I do have faith the Hunter has done his homework on this, so you must be able to include it.

Isn't this an OGL product rather than a d20 product? If it's OGL, the XP table is fine. If it's a d20 product, then... I don't know. The book *seems* like OGL.

From the d20 System Guide:

Applying the effects of Experience to a Character does not include creating or modifying an experience point chart, defining a new class (including describing what benefits that class provides at each level).
