Afinajo Fungus
The afinajo fungus, native to the Buagki system(Corridor), reproduces by means of minute spores
The spores act as a powerful psychotropic agent on both humans and Vargr with unpredictable results highly dependent upon the individual user
Afinajo spores have been put to many uses and SuSAG is currently attempting to synthesize a variant of the fungusā psychoactive compound to
make a drug to combat mental illness.
Military agencies are rumored to use afinajo fungi in biological warfare
Illegal ānajo inhalers have been used for decades, to the annoyance of sector law enforcement personnel.
The Travellersā Aid Society found afinajo spores sufficiently dangerous to declare Buagki an amber zone.
Borloi
Plant derived narcotic, grows on small spiny bushes. In it's pure form it is highly addictive. Regulated within the Imperium, as well as on many individual worlds/systems.
A derivative of the borloi alkali is the active ingredient in dope sticks, as well as the commonly available tranquilizer soma.
Caterpillar Delight
A rather serious hallucinegenic. The drug is recognizable by it's purple color with a yellow squiggle.
Cracknip
A powdered derivative of the yellow borloi, this drug is highly addictive for Aslans. Effects include euphoria, increases sexual desire, increased strength and reduced fatigue. Long term use results in impotence and lassitude. Normally inhaled through the nostrils, it has no effect on other races except occasional nausea.
Crystal Blue Persuasion
AKA Blue Ice, Glow Bug, Felicity or CBP:
A highly addictive drug, strictly prohibited on most worlds.
A bluish-white, tasteless, crystalline drug that is taken orally. It dissolves easily in water, so it may be added to drinks or food.
Currently, CBP distribution seems to be limited to a handful of worlds in the Five Sisters subsector. Imperial authorities have not made a concentrated effort to track down the source of the drug, relying on local authorities to handle the situation.
This may change if the use of CBP begins to spread afield.
CBP causes a feeling of euphoria and confidence that leaves the user more susceptible to suggestions (-2 to resist casual suggestions; -5 to resist Fast-Talk or Sex Appeal rolls; doubles the effectiveness of hypnotism).
CBP takes effect within two minutes of ingestion and lasts for 1d6 hours, after which the user will become depressed and exhausted (END-3 to keep from falling asleep for 2d6 hours).
While under the influence of CBP, users may take other drugs or drink large amounts of alcohol without suffering any of the usual effects, including hangovers
Regular use decreases the effectiveness of the drug, requiring larger doses to achieve the same results. After 1d6 doses, the effects last 1d6-1 hours (no less than 1 hour) and the user will need to make a END roll to avoid acquiring a Minor Addiction. After 1d6/2 more doses, the effectiveness decreases to around 1 hour per dose, and the user will need to make a END-5 roll to avoid acquiring a Major Addiction

Players do not get points for an addiction acquired through use of this drug.
CBP is thought to be difficult to manufacture, and production seems to be controlled by a single organization of unknown origin.
CBP varies in cost depending on availability. A single dose (1g) costs between Cr30 and Cr100.
Dope Stick
Any of a variety of ubiquitous, mildly euphoric and flavored smokables. Although psychologically addictive, they are not physically so; they contain no tobacco.
Dust Spice
Harvested from the bark of the geki bush, dustspice is a euphoria-inducing spice used recreationally throughout Charted Space. In humans, the effect is similar thing to alcohol but in other species, notably the Aslan and Vargr, it is a particularly powerful euphoric. The most valuable dustspice is harvested on Romar (Glisten subsector, the Spinward Marches) but it can also be found on Keanou (Lanth subsector) and a few other systems
Dust-spice from Keanou(Lanth) can be found sold at Rhylanor, Regina, Roup, Zivije, or Rethe for Cr10,000 per kilogram (plus 2D times Cr1,000).
Aslan Spice Dens are found wherever significant Aslan populations are present. They are the inevitable consequence of the widespread consumption of dustspice.
Contrary to expectations, they are not seedy establishments, but convivial restaurants and bars serving "dustspice enhanced" food. Their communal, clan-detached nature have slowly increased the importance of spice dens into full blown unofficial meeting places.
If a male needs associates, or to discreetly get something from another clan, a dustspice den is where they'd go. Instead of asking where an Aslan would set up meetings, it may be better to ask which spice den they frequent? The Dens have been heavily compared to the old cafƩs of the renaissance on ancient Terra, and there are certainly parallels. Though the dens are far less prone to intellectual conversation unless talking about close quarters combat techniques, military tactics or epic poetry. Spice dens primarily cater to Aslan but the Credits of other species are worth the same and they are often far less affected by the spice, and less likely to cause a scene.
There are some female equivalents, but they tend to be overshadowed by their rowdier counterparts. They are quiet, dignified affairs where deals can decide the economic future of whole worlds. Female spice dens are technologically sophisticated, using automated staff and electronic systems at every possible opportunity, contrary to their male oriented counterparts, where technology is generally shunned, and one could believe themselves back on preflight Kusyu if not for the pile of laser and gauss guns behind the reception desk.
