High Quality scans of the Alien Module covers?

The official Solomani PDF had a really nice clean scan and I was able to extract the image and do this:

On a related note, the sheer volume of these books that I find for sale on the used market, and the condition of the covers tells me that everyone should cover the covers of their softcover RPG books with contact paper. The stuff is pretty cheap. easily removable, and will protect the covers from shelf wear and prevent UV light from fading the covers.

If you have Classic Traveller stuff still in good shape, get some contact paper and preserve it now.

Note that many collectors will reject out of hand such copies. Not that that has stopped me in several cases...

Why reject something protected by contact paper? If you don't like it, you can just remove the contact paper and you'll get the nice pristine cover that's underneath. There's a reason libraries use contact paper on books they hand out.

I've never seen contact paper on a library book. Not in the Uof Alaska system, nor the Anchorage Public nor School District libraries, not the Linn-Benton (Oregon) public libraries, nor the Alsea School District J (Oregon). I've not gone into the OSU nor LBCC libraries here in Corvallis.
What I've seen are clear cellophane folded around the dust jacket of hardcovers, and often then that taped onto the hardcover. And that's been the case on books from a number of libraries I've not been too but have checked out materials from via Inter-Library Loan - over a dozen in my undergrad, including Lake Geneva Public Library. (One of which was checked out in 1973 by an EG Gygax, according to the pocket in back.)

Also, all the contact paper I've used? The glue does NOT come off easily, and takes ink with it.

no, but the bulk of the wear is simply the books rubbing against each other, not necessarily thumbing through it a couple of times during play. (Mind its all fun and games until the soda gets spilled, then you're in a different world.

True. I guess if you don't mind throwing mylars with backer boards in your backpack then this could be a solution. I'm sticking with clear contact paper, since that's my library and the one librarian in my family recommends. I don't care about resale value. My kids will inherit my books and can deal with the contact paper.

Found a copy of the Aslan book for $11 on eBay and was able to scan in the cover.

I got a MUCH cleaner image of the Aslan from the back cover. Here is the updated back cover.
