When I asked, long ago, why the other signatories to the Berne convention accepted that extension, I was told that there are a lot of influential Europeans who wanted to prevent Mein Kampf from getting into public domain (so that they could prevent its publication). I've no idea about the truth of this (It sounds farfetched to me, but why else did the other signatories go along with America?)Originally posted by daryen:
