Hard Times --the sourcebook

I haven't played in about 15 years, and am about to start a new campaign, time period rebellion, leading into hard times.
I like the feel, gritty, dangerous and exiting.
Hard Times is worth buying.

You're from Brisbane? Oh, good... maybe I can borrow your copy at some point.

I'm in Toowoomba. I have threatened to move back to Brisbane next year, but that might not happen.

Damn, Hit the wrong button.

Possible, I'll see if I can copy or scan it.
Of course I'll have to get a scanner up and running first. Then see if I can put it in PDF or Word format. Or get a mate to do a hoard of photocopies at work.

Main reason I bought hard times was for the pregravitic spacecraft sequnces in a rulebook, rather than a magazine.

Especially since I tend to run pre-rebellion.

Not to criticise anyone but do step lightly around copyright issues here. This board is run by the producers of T20 and they are very serious about protecting Traveller IP.

oops sorry.

Would a simple photocopy be alright?

No money to change hands.

If it's only for his personal use and he can't get an original copy, is that still infringement?

Technically yes it is.

Especially with the MT Cdrom possibility.

I personally feel that if it's no longer available and the IP owners can't provide an copy of it then it should be acceptable. You could also look at a license fee or something like that. ESDs for OOP products seem to go for $5 these days, and considering that only part of that goes to the IP holder arranging for maybe a $3 payment to the IP holder would be reasonable. Anyone else agree/disagree?
