According to the Infinite Worlds Campaign Quantum 6 is where all the historic echoes are located. So far all of the echoes thus far discovered are echoes of the past, there have been no future echoes relative to Homeline and Earth Beta. Earth Beta is basically the world we live in today, a world without parachronic projectors, it may be that the laws are physics are slightly different in Earth Beta than it is in Homeline. You see Parachronic projectors only work in two timelines, Homeline and Centrum. Attempts to build parachonic projectors in other timelines have failed to produce a working device due to these differing laws of physics. Now what if Earth Beta also happened to be a historic Echo of another timeline yet to be discovered. We'll call this timeline Traveller Beta. Traveller Beta is a parallel semi historic echo of Traveller Alpha, that is the Traveller of the Virus, MegaTraveller, and the New Era. In Traveller Beta, there was no assassination of the Emperor, no Civil War, no Virus, and No New Era. Traveller Beta is the setting of GURPS Traveller.
Now I ask the question, how does it affect the campaign if the Infinity Patrol discovers this new timeline called Traveller Beta The Parachonic Conveyor appears on Terra in the Sol subsector of the Solomani rim. The apparent time displacement is a few millenia into the future, according the the Infinity Patrol. The language spoken in the Imperium is not the same as that spoken by the Infinity Patrol, so basically, they have to send an agent over to Terra and get him to learn the language, without revealing that he is from another universe. After he has learned the language, the agents teaches other Infinity Agents that language and even uses recording of various conversations spoken on Terra. The Conveyors only arrive on Terra at the location corresponding to the location of the projector on Homeline Earth. To go to other planets, agents need to use Traveller Starships. Some on the Infinity Patrol want to see if they can build a conveyor big enough to fit a Jump Drive and Maneuver Drive inside, then they bring it back to Homeline and test them out to see if they work in the Homeline Universe. Parachronic Projectors don't work in the Traveller Universe, bu that doesn't mean that the Imperium couldn't design its own projector that would wrok according to its own universe's rules, all the more reason to keep the secret. the basic Jump Drive is not a secret at all in the Traveller Universe so agents try to obtain one without drawing too much attention to themselves.
Soound like an interesting campaign?
