But I got a remotely related Celestia question:
I`ve got a download of Hipparcos data, which contains parallax data for about 112000 stars.
Now there is a Celestia data file with 2 million stars, including positional data. Where does that come from ?
I though only Hipparcos data provides somehow trustable distance data....
