I think you're talking about #3 and #4, and you're right, I was somewhat asking for "super-hero" art.
Number 3 : I asked the guy to draw a group of adventurers, with one character for each career (sitting : a scout ; standing up : tough guy from the Army, ex-Marine girl, Merchant woman, ex-Navy officer, "Other"). Some of them may look a bit too archetypal, but I think It will help to make Traveller look cool. This will-be a full-page piece starting the "Characters & Combat" chapter.
Number 4 : I specifically asked for a "superheroic" psionic character, but not dresssed like Superman. I wanted a TK / Aware guy like Neo from Matrix, or similar modern action hero. That's it !

I must say when I look at number 1 I think Heavy Gear (with a GREL on the right), rather than Traveller. Don't know why, I know it's Traveller but it just says Heavy Gear.

Oddly enough the only problem I have with the last one, the gentleman sitting in the chair, is that he is wearing a tie. For some reason I don't consider ties to be very Traveller.
