First Attempt at T5 Character with published rules..

Hi, all..

This is my first shot at a T5 Character. This is very rough and incomplete:

Wendel Kosmala (UPP: 468ACB)

Wendel Kosmala grew up travelling at an early age due to his father being a border trader with the Aslan Hierate. His father was, of course, well versed in the Aslan language. At age 18, Wendel enrolled at Durguu University. He majored in History with a minor in the Aslan language. At age 22, he graduated with a Bachelor Degree in History (Honors). He had also excelled in his minor, and learned to speak Aslan with the fluency of his native tongue.

He found that the academic life suited him, and he continued into the Masters Program in Robotics with a Minor in Fluidics. After the two year program, he graduated with honors in the field of Robotics at age 24.

He was accepted into the Doctorate program in Fluidics with a minor in Robotics. His two years minoring in Fluidics had caused him to want to study it further. At age 26, he graduated with a Doctorate in Fluidics (Honors).

He travelled to the Aslan homeworld as a Scholar and spent 4 years studying with the leading researchers in Aslan robotic technology. At age 30, he wrote his ground-breaking publication, “A History of Automata in Aslan Society”. This important treatise gained him the rank of Knight of the Iridium Throne. Also, his time in Aslan space honed his skill with the Aslan language. He spent another four years in research, but did not have any fruitful results. At age 34, he left his university research, and began to venture forth into the Imperium seeking further fame and fortune.

Thanks for sharing Yamsi3467,
With the skills allocation there, it looks like you prefer a character that is really skilled in a couple of areas (eg History, Aslan, Robotics and Fluidics in this case), as opposed to having a multitude of skills.

Wendel seems to be a very focused individual. With a strength of 4, it makes sense that he'd go the more academic path. Also with the social standing that would assist in his relations with the Aslan.

I'm curious, what path he would fall under.

I'd imagine either: 02 Scholar.(The academic side) 04 Citizen (perhaps not wanting to be tied down). 05.Scout, 06 Merchants, 07 Spacer(These three because if he's seeking fame and fortune then they could be good ways to get out and about in the universe) or perhaps 13 Functionary(Perhaps with the Aslan skill he becomes an ambassador between the Imperium and the Aslan Hierate?

Also what's his homeworld?

I did make him a Scholar. I think I am going to assume he was born in space (father being a trader and all). Yes, he is definitely an academic. He would need to adventure with some supporting cast to help him with combat.

Thanks for the input.

If you guys have a chance to take a look here

You can see several characters that have been done step by step if this helps.

Now if you made him a craftsman for a term or several, he would be considered to be one heck of robotic tinker. :)

Just realized that Major/Minor for College/University must be Any Art, Any Science, Athlete, Broker, Bureaucrat, Counsellor, Designer, Language or Teacher. So Fluidics is out. Have reworked OP to reflect changes.

Yeah, that bothered me actually. That's why in my house rules I've renamed the "Trades" to "Trades/Engineering" so that you can take them in college/university, just like in real life. The difference is if you take say automotive at a trade school, you're a grease-monkey working in a garage. If you take it at university/college, especially with a minor in design, then you are an automotive engineer, designing ground vehicles. Makes more sense to me.
