Firefly CAN be saved

So, Fox has decided to drop Joss Whedon's Firefly. This foolish move on their part can be to UPN's benefit. There's movement afoot to help UPN see the wisdom in picking up this show, just as they acquired Joss' Buffy: the Vampire Slayer from Fox - visit fireflysupport.com

I've never taken part in a "save the show" campaign before, but Firefly simply has too much potential and is too Traveller to be allowed to end at this early point. So, I'm actually writing this time, both to UPN and to CBS.

This isn't the bad ol' days of TV, when networks controlled what was seen. It's no longer that unusual for a series to change networks. If you like what you've seen of Firefly, visit the above site to learn how to let UPN and CBS know that you want to see it continue.

The huge Firefly thread on this forum shows that many Traveller players/refs enjoy this show. Will you make a small effort to see it continue?

Well, it says he's looking for a new home? Anything to grasp onto as far as hope goes....

They do a lot better than the WB on that score, though. Much, much better than USA. UPN might be the least, and easiest, of evils...

Unfortunately i missed a year of shows during my move to Germany and never saw it. I have since downloaded about all the episodes from Kazaa except a couple. Anyone have these recorded and can do a transfer???

I'm sure I would have loved Firefly, but I never got around to watching it because, as a general matter, I don't remember when television shows are on.

I'd be perfectly happy if he said screw the networks an market it as a straight-to-video series. I'd buy 'em all!

I was thinking the same thing. Is there anyway to bring this up and maybe push the issue???

Unfortunately us here in England haven't as yet seen the show so cannot comment on it. There has been a massive amount of cancelling of good promising shows by the US networks in the last several years, something that is happening more and more. Oh a lament for Dark Skies, possibly the most promising show to appear from the states in the last 10 years. Space Above and Beyond was fun also.
