Fiery's turrets?

SOC-10
I can't remember which turrets fire what on the Fiery, and most of my Traveller stuff is still buried from the move I just completed. Need info ASAP so I can finally get some images to Andrew for the calendar....

Depends on the Fiery. The GT version has the Particle guns top/bottom and the lasers on the sides same as the supplement 7 Gazelle class

That is actually the way it is done in the CT Fiery, which is also mentioned in Supp 7.

Lower Turret Forward, PA Barbette.
Upper turret just aft of midships, PA Barbette.
Port Turret, about 2/3rds of the way back, Triple Beam Laser.
Starboard Turret, about 2/3rds of the way back, Triple Beam Laser.
Gig, in the bow, Single Beam Laser.

According to Brilliant Lances, there are a pair of 150Mj laser turrets, one on each upper side, a 300Mj laser turret on the top, and a missile turret in the bow (chin?) position, each with a gunner. Hope that helps.

Here you go.

Design Aspects:
Using all its hardpoints, the Fiery mounts a total of four turrets: two outboard waist turrets, one on the chin, and the other perched atop the dorsal surface. Distributed in this way, the weapon mounts nearly cover a complete sphere, protecting the ship from most angles.
The waist turrets are triple mounts, each sporting three beam lasers. Residing in the chin are three missile launchers. Two fusion guns sit in the dorsal turret. This combination gives the Fiery a good punch at closer ranges, while not draining the ship's power systems to a degree that would greatly hamper maneuvrability.
this is the web site it was taken from.

Jesse-

After the calendar, will you be able to update your website with some new images? Long time fan.

I ask you: were it not for the last moment, would anything ever get done?

The last minute is the most productive sixty seconds of my day.

At one point, I could not decide whether to join Procrastinator's Anonymous or The Pessimists Club; in the end, I missed the deadline, but it probably wouldn't have worked out, anyway.

When did the Firey lose the PA's? It had them in both CT and MT. What does it do with the excess energy it is no longer using and where is the missile magazine? (It barely has enough space for supplies.)

Certainly by 1993, and possibly earlier. It did not have a bay; just a dual missile turret with storage space for 6 missiles in cargo. Excess energy... hmmm, I believe I heard of a jacuzzi in the captain's cabin, on one ship.

The definitive Fiery has to be the one with deck plans in DGPs MTJ2.

Its standard armament is listed as two triple laser turrets, a triple missile turet, and a twin fusion gun turret.
The ship data block replacs the fusion guns with a particle accelerator barbette.

The article mentions an up-gunned variant which uses the particle accelerator barbettes from a Gazelle...

The TNE version lost it since that small PA are not available/useful in FFS. The GT version has them back.
In MTneTU I replaced PAs with short ranged, but powerful X-ray lasers...

Yup. Some friends and I are working on an Aliens fan film, and there's a lot of testing stuff with stills and animation that I need to do before-hand. I plan to use Traveller stuff for the testing media :D

Stay tuned, and thanks for the support!

There are many others of us who look forward to seeing them, too. Your renders are awe-inspiring!
