Dual LMGs

two gun mojo is vastly overdone in movies. you notice the person recording the vid didnt show the shots going downrange

one hopes they at least went in the proper direction...

Dial up , I can't watch video. (sigh)

But I have fired to M60's on in each hand/arm. Its a trick but it can be done. The important part is getting the weapons up on target and then keeping them on target. (Practice, practice and more practice.)

I did it as a bet that it couldn't be done. Had 200 rd belts each gun and had to put at least 50% each gun's ammo on the target, (an old M113 at about 100yds). We eyeballed the amount of hits and it was more than 3/4 of the bullets hitting.

You have to use the recoil of the barrel to keep the Pig up and in the direction you want. Tuck the butt against your body with the elbow and have one leg infront of the other. You had better have not only some good arm strenght but some muscle endurance because even for the 20 seconds of fire you will get cramped if you are not careful. And don't left off the trigger because the gun will fall, darn gravity. :)

Not something I would reccomend with out safety and practice. But it was a very cool sight they tell me. Wish someone had taken pictures.

I use to show students with a 50rd belt what recoil was about firing a M60 one handed. It was just a techinque to visually explain what recoil meant and how it could be used if understood. Not that we wanted soliders to Rambo it but, it was an important lesson when teaching them how to qualify with full auto weapons.
