New guy to Traveller (for the most part) here. I am familiar with basic character and world creation in the Traveller universe, but never really tried a game myself or with others before. I am also interested in miniature making (i.e., 15mm figures, terrain, etc.) related to the games.

If you want a look at the Imperium from Marc Miller, get and read/listen-to Agent of the Imperium... audiobook on Audible. Dead tree, EPub and PDF available on Amazon.
I found it hard to put down...

Just two heads ups for you:

1. neither I, nor my predecessors, nor my successor, as Lead Admin have ever had a rule about old threads being resurrected; just be advised that some discussions pop back up after a decade. And several posters from back then are no longer with us.
   1. oh, and some of the oldest threads have formatting issues and broken images.
2. The active staff are @aramis , @atpollard or @McPerth ... We're the ones who issue the infractions, read the reports, and hear the appeals. We also would rather you ask first if you think you may be close to the line... (If you do, you can report yourself and ask for a review of the post, then "delete" the post. Only staff can actually remove posts from the database; user deletes just hide it. We can also restore it.) We're willing to help you stay in the lines.

Some of the users have been on the board here (under two changes of software and 3 or 4 server changes) since the early 2000's.
