Welcome to the new COTI server. We've moved the Citizens to a new server. Please let us know in the COTI Website issue forum if you find any problems.
We, the systems administration staff, apologize for this unexpected outage of the boards. We have resolved the root cause of the problem and there should be no further disruptions.
There are... or there were. If you can find him, Thomas Bont ran a GURPS:Traveller group in the West Dallas area. Additionally, we had a group in North Plano for awhile, but it's been dormant for years now.
I ran TNE for awhile a few years back out of Y2K in Fort Worth. My groups playing L5R now, but someone buys the Traveller stuff at the store. If you'r in that part of the metroplrx ask Craig (owner) or Peter (dice monkey) who all it is.
From context I gather that Y2K is a store that sells roleplaying games. However, it is not listed in the yellow pages. Where is it located in Ft Worth?
I live in the DFW area, but I don't get time to do FTF gaming. So, I just PBeM right now.
On the DFW side, the only real game store I know of is Game Chest in Valley View Mall on 635 between Preston and Montford. I haven't been there in a long while, (I live way, way north) but last I knew it was still alive and kicking, and they hosted various gaming groups.
Who would have thought people would want to build hundreds of square miles of strip-shopping and parking lots. The things we Americans endure for our paychecks...
Y2k is local slang for Y2Komics. It is in South Fort Worth off of 820 and Old Grandbury Road. It has a large gaming area and hosts several different gaming groups. Most of the wargaming terrain there is mine. Number is 817 263 5888
Lone Star Comics has a Fort Worth store and a South West Arlington Store. Gaming facilities are minimal. They do have gamer want ad books.
Central Arlington Lone Star on Abrams has a large gaming area. Don't know if they have a Traveller group, but most DFW gamers wander through eventually. 817 265 0491
Hurst/mid-Cities has an independant, but I don't remember his name.
