L Leondus SOC-5 Aug 28, 2002 #1 Hello How would you roll/handle vehicle damage?? I looked in book 1 and 4, but can't find anything. My CT books have been in storage for almost four years and I just got them tonight. Thought I would take a refresher course. Hope someone can help.. TIA Leondus

P plop101 Absent Friend Aug 28, 2002 #2 There really isn't any vehicle combat thats directly CT, bk1-4. There is the stuff from Striker and one article from JTAS that converts vehicles into AHL game format, but thats all I can think of. One time I ran across a very simple House Rules version for CT vehicle combat, but now I can't find it on the web.

A alanb SOC-13 Aug 28, 2002 #3 The short answer is that there are no vehicle combat rules in Books 1&4. Supposedly, you should use Striker, but I've always considered that to be an unsatisfactory solution. There is a good set of unofficial rules that appeared in an old issue of White Dwarf (back in the 80s!) here: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andyslack/ Failing that, using a variation of the Starship combat rules is your best bet. They have hit location tables and that kind of thing. Unfortunately, they don't deal with questions like target size, armour and so on. Alan Bradley

L Leondus SOC-5 Aug 28, 2002 #4 Thanks for the link, alanb plop101, if you can recall which JTAS that converts vehicles into AHL game format that would be a great. (I'm going over AHL now) What I would like to do is use my old Laserburn figs in CT. and you know someone is going to fire on a air/raft or APC. Thanks again for the help

Sorry I didn't get back to you on this. Ok, its not exactly a conversion, but ... JTAS#7 Pg36-37 "Pursue and Destroy"
