Realistically, I don't think Felix can make the climb. His leg is in plaster and it just doesn't make sense for him even to attempt it. I suggest that Felix stays behind in the vehicle and I take over running Owen for the time being (any objections?)

Otherwise, the climbing order looks good, Klaus.

Baron: I argree about the likelihood of catastrophic failure but I suppose we are roped together so we can catch a falling comrade.

Also, at the risk of stating the blindingly obvious, aren't we walking into a trap here? Do we need to have a plan to avoid capture? Unfortunately, I can't think of anything better than continuing and seeing what happens at the top of the cliff but if anyone has any better ideas...

Having discussed this with Kafka, we've concluded that it would be feasible for a high-tech cast to have healed Felix's leg sufficiently to make the ascent. I'll take Felix up the cliff and I agree that we follow Klaus's suggested climbing order.

I am always open to improvisation...there are those Grav modules that are left over from the Pod...(cut rolls to 25)

To help you save time...use an online dice roller. If you do it bulk...that would save time.

And, yes, 2 would be automatic failure but it then necessates the next person down the line rolls to catch.

Further improvisation, consult with me and argue logically and persuasively...and it might just work. But essentially, I want simulate some of the difficulties otherwise, everything just becomes a cakewalk.

To get the ball (dice?) rolling, here are my first 10 rolls:

8,7,7,3,8,8,4,7,5,7

Since Felix's Dexterity is A (taken down from B in view of the leg injury) these all succeed.

Does someone else want to take up the story for the first part of the real climbing?

Soz for not posting all week guys. We had power cuts last Friday and Sunday, and the hippy LAN my net connection is on has taken all week to get up and running again (tho it has been somewhat amusing watching the weirdy-beardy techno-hippies rush around the neighbourhood turning boxes back on!)

No worries mate, been babysitting my little guy this week which has meant less time in front of the computer. Wrote an executive summary and answer to your post. Hope that the good Benny is back online and Jame is ready to take over Julianne...(otherwise, it is still an open invite to the whole board; just clear it with Jame, as well).

And...Zeke is always lurking about.

Limited Ref intervention: Waiting on the players themselves to resolve the current story line. The ball is in your guys & girls. I will run the story whichever way you decide to take it.

P.S.
the members of his team are up for grabs if approved by our kind GM!!All that is needed is to role up their stats. etc.

As you've figured out, I've for various reasons dropped out. For now, Kafka's playing Julianne, but if anyone else wants to take over just give me a P.M.

Hey everyone!,just checking in.I should be on a somewhat settled and less hectic schedule in about two weeks.Until then Kafka has portrayed Zeke well, and I'll see ya'll later.
Go Mercs.!

Julianne seems to have died (so far just seems). So I think I'm permanently out, except for watching the story.

Have fun, all!

Right guys. How do we sort this Count fellah out? He's a dashing rotter and needs to be taught a thorough lesson in civilised behaviour. I say let's have at him with several cricket bats (after all, they're bound to break on the 70ieth or 80ieth bash).

I plan to feed him critically false information, as close to the truth as possible, taking as long as possible, unitl he gets restless and drops his guard. THEN we beat his ass with cricket bats.

We could also try to take the opportunity to get him to open up overall as to his overall plan, IE get him comfy enough and sure of our alliegence.

I say we use his undoubtldly superior position (We cannot defeat Battledress troops as we are now) to strangle him. We probably have to act like we are going along with him for a bit, until we can get to a good position to REALLY mess him up good. Ben will be watched, monitored constantly, as I am sure the Count doesn't want him strolling about his Yacht's engine room.

TO bring him down, we must get really sly on him...

apologies for not posting this earlier, but I'm bowing out of the game.

Kafka's been playing Owen wonderfully, but if anyone wants to take over the character they are welcome- just let Kafka know.

I can't browse at work any more so I just don't have the online time. I'm sorry but that's how it is. I've really enjoyed reading the posts now and then and I will continue to pop in occasionally.

Cheers.

ps - the other hassles I had (earlier post) have all resolved themselves peacefully.
