comet colonies

Has anybody done much with inhabited comets in Traveller?

I don't recall seeing any in the books I own, but there is a metric tonne of stuff I have never even seen.


What TL do you think would be necessary to settle on (or inside) a comet?

Something to dig it out with and a reason to go there. Bearing in mind that comets spend a lot of their time in awkward locations way out in the outer system, there would have to be a good reason to set up shop there. On the plus side, there's plenty of raw material to make fuel from.

If you have fusion power then TL9. If you don't then TL 8, although you would have to import radioactives for fuel. PV cells on a comet that spends most of its time in the oort cloud aren't going to produce enough power.
