Comments are welcome.

The design consideration was to add some structure to the Classic Traveller combat system, while keeping the "nature" of the original system intact. I think I've accomplished this ... but only you can decide.

(Yahoo Groups is acting a little slow at the moment ... so it might take a little while to get the file. Hopefully you won't have to sign-up for the group to get the file.)

For those that don't know ... since I didn't mention it. Silhouette is the game system designed by Dream Pod 9 and used in such games as Heavy Gear, Tribes 8, and Jovian Chronicles. They have both an RPG system and a tactical miniatures system. Both are very very similar to each other.

Please supply comments when you're finished perusing the document. That's what I'm looking for. Comments and questions, so I can refine the document and make it better for the end-user's use.

FWIW, DP9 has demo pdf's of their games at dp9.com

I think the Margins are less dramatic than HG but this may be a modification to better work with CT.

You have a Margin of 0 = a draw (I guess?) which I don't remember from Silhouette. This result of neither a success or failure does not seem to be spelled out. :confused:

Since there is no dodge skill in CT for combat perhaps either add the modifer or use it halved (if no applicable skill) for defense rolls.

Table 1-2 seems a bit skewed towards + modifiers and 5-7 = 0 seems a tad much but I've not crunched the numbers.

Taking a look at the rest it seems good, though I need to go over some of the ratings and do some sample combats.
