I'm trying to ensure I have a handle on how T4 Book 1 Chapter 2 Character Generation Step 2 Advanced Education works without a lot of detail.
There are eight Advanced Education options available to a character and nine common steps;
The nine items are
1. Prerequisite which establishes the characteristic or characteristics needed try for admission.
2. Admission is the target number + any modifiers needed to get into the selected option.
3. Preferential Enrollment if any two of required characteristics are 2+ higher than than the required number the applicant is automatically accepted and skips the Failed Admission step.
4. Failed Admission determines how long the character lasted and the number of Academic skills received. With the referee's consent the character can try entering one of the other advanced education options.
5. Perseverance A successful roll means the character lasted through the entire course of either 1, 2, or 4 years and sends the character to item 7 with fours rolls. A failed roll means sends the character to item 6.
6. Flunked Out determines the number of years the character attended and the number of skills gained in the time span.
7. Academic Skills are what the character can learn of the particular advanced education option. For a successful Perseverance roll the character either rolls or selects four skills. If the character Flunked out then a roll is made to see how many academic skills were earned.
8. Graduation provides the degree received for completing the course.
9. Honors provides the extra bonus factors allocated to the character for success. One example would be going to Medical school.
College has two additional options which are attending OTC and NOTC.
Have I got the basic idea down?
