Central Maryland - monthly game

This started on the Traveller-RPG group on Facebook. A number of Traveller fans in the MD/DC/NOVA area have been talking about starting up a monthly game, and I'm throwing my hat into the ring to kick things off.

I'm tentatively looking at running using the Mongoose Traveller rules, set in the Classic era (1107-ish) of the OTU. At the moment, the second or fourth Sunday of the month have been proposed for meeting dates. Meeting location is also still TBD; both Games & Stuff in Glen Burnie and the Family Game Store in Savage Mill have been proposed.

Plans are firming up! Settled on the second Sunday of the month; venue will be decided on in the next couple of days.

The game will use the Mongoose Traveller rules and be set in the Classic Era of the OTU, around 1105-1106. The focus of action will be in the Far Frontiers subsector, home of the FASA adventures, and stomping ground of the brothers Keith.

All systems are go! Meeting 2nd Sunday of the month at Games & Stuff in Glen Burnie, MD. Three players confirmed, couple more possibles, and we're off and running.

We have eight, count'em, EIGHT players! Game is currently closed to new players as that's the limit of what I can handle for an on-going game.

I'm not sure if John is still running this or not. I had to bail after about 5 sessions due to youth coaching duties and haven't stayed in touch with him. I'm down in Annapolis and would be interested in a game on the weekends only; I work in DC and wouldn't be able to get up there during the week.
