Called shot==head shot==critical hit??

SOC-9
Hi all. I'm running my first campaign in three weeks and I have a newbie question for you. Since the T20 rules allow for a called shot to the head, what would the ruling be on the damage and/or critical nature of the hit. If you call a headshot and succeed, how is the damage allocated? Also, would that be considered a critical hit? Thanks for any advice.

I would double the damage as if a critical hit had been scored.
If a critical hit is realised on a called shot to the head then increase the damage to x3 (describe it as hitting the eye or through the mouth severing the brain from the spine etc ;)

By the way, you will get the official T20 hit location rules in the Player's Guidebook.

Which you can look at now if you subscribe and read the playtest files ;)

Where are there rules for called shots? The d20 Dungeon Master's Guide says something about the system not being designed to use called shots. I'd love to find where rules for these are at...

The double damage would still use full armor bonuses? The triple, as a 'true' crit, wouldn't?

Three questions:
1. Is this going to further complicate combat?
2. Since the T20 book has lots of player handbook type stuff in it; how much new material will be in the Player's handbook?
3. How do I subscribe?
Thanks..

And to answer your first, the called shot should use full armour (unless you are aiming for an even smaller area not covered by armour) IMHO.

Only a true critical hit or a called shot to an unarmoured location should ignore armour.

Many thanks Sigg.
To clarify -- if a headshot is called against a target with no helmet and it is sucessful -- I would disregard armor.
