I am looking at starship construction 09: Drive Formulae, and I am trying to find the discussion of the formulas the the missing elements.
For example, there are comments of RU and IF with no explanation. There is no formulae for cost. There are details for Energy Points, but, why?
Combine that with conflicting formulae such as two different entries for T in the Jump drive section.
I was hoping the original work was clearer in regards to the details.
Does anyone have any links that would assist in sorting out this section?

So, not all engine types have RU comments, nor is there a place where I have found a RU-->mcr conversion package.

RU on Table 09 Drive Formula p.337 stands for Round Up
i.e. If you get a fractional result like 0.3 you round it up to 1.
IF stands for Ignore Fractions.
i.e if you get a result such as 1.4 or 1.6 the result is 1.
Resource Units are also written as RU, but have nothing to do with Drive Formula. Resource Units are totally abstract and cannot be converted to Credits. In other words a Resource Unit is a measure of Economic Strength not Cash.

T stands for Total Drive Tonnage. There are two entries for it in the formulas for each drive because there are two ways of calculating it, one uses Energy Points the other uses the Drive Number. Drive Number and Energy Points are related by the formula D=EP/100 or EP=Dx100.
