Tech raises questions, better to use Diamonds, we used to make them all the time by using CO2 instead of a pure inert gas to run pressure/thermal tests and would end up with the little buggers, so we used them as bribes on low tech worlds who couldn't tell the difference between Industrial and mined stones.

but whose to say your local low tech world values diamonds? They are not very useful to a TL1 or 2 civilisation, their just some shiny rocks.. the only people who would be intrested in them are other passing traders, who would know the difference in quality.

far better for the official to ask for physical credits. While it may still only be valuable when trading with other off world traders, they would be easier to trade with than a bunch of rocks which the traders might rip him off over. Plus, off world capital is never that bad a thing.

I have the Judges Guild Traveller's Logbook.

In that book, there's an optional rule about homeworld TL , EDU, and Survival skills.

It might be of interest to some of you.

I used it when I ran CT. I do recommend it for non-OTU play.

I only stopped because MT had its own rules for effects of TL, and I found players didn't clamor for it as much.

Since Hunter bought the rights to the JG Traveller materials, it falls under the Fair Use provisions for the board... that is, no more than one page worth.

Feel free to post it in thread.

Ah, cool!

That's what was holding me up: fear of copyright violation. I try to respect the creative work of others.

But since it's fair use, and Hunter bought the rights:
